Frequently Asked Questions

Not sure where, how, or who to serve? Here are some frequently asked questions.
Do you even need more volunteers?
Yes! Everyone should experience the joy of serving! All of our ministries rotate and accommodate for volunteers' needs and availability. By stepping in and contributing, you’re helping to lighten the load for everyone. There are countless areas where your service could make an impact--on others, and on you!
What does a typical volunteer experience look like?
You'll be connected to a team leader who will help train and equip you to serve in your role. On Sunday, you'll start with a pre-serving meeting (a team "huddle") and prayer before heading out with the team where you'll have a blast serving together, building community and friendships, all while creating a compelling church for everyone! After that, you can give feedback to your leader and enjoy making a difference each week!
What if I'm not the right fit for the ministry I choose? Is there a commitment?
Sometimes the best way to learn if a ministry is right for you is to give it a chance! We typically encourage trying out a team at least 4 times to get a real feel for it. If your current role isn't working, explore other ministries until you find the one that highlights your skills and passions. Serving should be a joyful experience, not an obligation! You are never "stuck" in a volunteer position.
Can I serve in more than one area/ministry?
Absolutely! As long as there are no schedule conflicts, we would love to have you serve in any area of the church! But please, don't overcommit yourself--serving should be a fulfilling and joyful experience, not a burden. Everyone deserves our best and that's hard to do when we stretch ourselves too thin.
