What Is Salt & Light?

It is our annual campaign of generosity and service to our community. Our goal is that everyone would choose to be Salt & Light in a tangible and practical way.

Why Do We Do It?

"You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot. You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl, instead they put it on its stand and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in Heaven." - Matthew 5:13-16

How Do We Get Involved?

There are two main ways you can be a part of Salt & Light:

1. Serve

Being the hands and feet of Jesus is one of the most impactful ways we can be Salt & Light to our community. Each year, we partner with local organizations to hear their needs and meet them. You can browse our serve portal to see a wide array of hands-on volunteer opportunities for which you, your kids, your friends, and your family can register.

2. Give

For the rest of the year, we will be taking up a special collection, separate from our general fund or missions fund, and strictly for Salt & Light. 100% of what is given to Salt & Light will be 100% given away to support financial, operational, or program needs for Franklin County non-profit partners or global missions partners.
